The journey from tree to parquet floor is a process that demands patience and craftsmanship. Ton Soares and our sawmills personally visit local markets to select wood that meets our strict quality standards.
We pay attention not only to outward characteristics, but also to the natural properties the wood has developed during its growth.
Van stam tot plank
In our climate-controlled sawmills, the wood follows a carefully planned course. The logs are first cut into boards, then allowed to dry naturally for six months.
This air-dried wood is then processed into rough planks that spend two months in the pre-drying chamber.
After that, another two months in the kiln, where we bring the moisture content down to precisely 8%.

They regularly attend training courses to stay current with the latest techniques.
